Below is a list of previous IHIWS conferences and their details.

18th IHIWS took place on May 11-15, 2022 in Noordwijkerhout, the Netherlands. 

The organising committee has a strong commitment and aims to be very active in making sure all goals of the parts of the workshop are reached. The next generation is not only applicable to sequencing; the representatives of the HLA-WN truly also embody the next generation in the field of Immunogenetics and Histocompatibility. The 17th International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop and Conference took place at Asilomar Conference Grounds in California, USA, from September 6 – 10, 2017.

The 16th IHIWS Workshop and Conference was held in Liverpool in 2012.

16th IHIWS Liverpool 2012

The Fifteenth International Histocompatibility and Imunogenetics Workshop (15th IHIWS), organized by Maria Gerbase-DeLima and Maria Elisa Moraes, was held in Brazil, in September 2008.

The main objective of the 15th IHIWS was to advance the knowledge on the nature of HLA and non-HLA genetic variation in different human populations, on HLA and non-HLA antigens as targets for rejection in solid organ and hematopoetic stem cell transplantation, and on the role of genetic variation in the control of the immune response and in the susceptibility to diseases. 15th IHIWS Brazil

The 14th International HLA and Immunogenetics Workshop was held in Melbourne, Australia from 29th of November until the 3rd of December, 2005. The first part of the meeting was dedicated to understanding the genetics and outcomes of solid organ transplantation.
